Sojourner, 25x25x2, framed

Sojourner is a part of a new series of the same name. This series explores the interconnectedness of us all and how important it is to be connected. Our interdependence is illustrated in the way the travelers carry the same line as they move on. As I created this piece, I also thought about people traveling together, or maybe the many “me’s” that have traveled through life; through our pasts, presents and futures.

This layered piece consists of original photography, collage, encaustic, oil, atop a cradle hardwood panel. It is custom-framed in a neutral soft metallic floater frame.
